The EDC Binhi Flagship Species and Philippine Forest Landscapes projects in recent years sparked my interest in the rich diversity of wildlife species, and how their endemism and limited distribution in specific regions heightens their risk of endangerment. This inspired me to create a stationery collection that not only celebrates these species but also blends aesthetics with function and education, highlighting their important role in ecological research and conservation.

In early 2024, I finally set time aside to begin this personal project, and so in between client work, I committed to illustrating at least one species each day eventually drawing a total of about 40 plants and animals.

Recognizing the scale of the project, I consulted Prof. Carmela Española from the UP Institute of Biology, who along with her colleagues helped create a master list of iconic Philippine endemic species. I also sought valuable input from my friends and collaborators at The Ateneo Wild and Forest Foundation Philippines. Their combined expertise shaped the notebooks, postcards, and other stationery featuring the native flora and fauna of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The growing collection is available in my webshop, with a portion of proceeds supporting NGOs dedicated to preserving and conserving these species.
