Description

Celebrate the beauty of the Philippines’ brightly colored endemic birds with this notebook! Some of these species are endangered, but raising awareness is a step toward their protection.

The A6 (4.1″ x 5.8″) notebook features hand-painted gouache illustrations of indigeneous birds such as the Southern Silvery Kingfisher, Red-headed Flameback, Guaiabero, Palawan Flowerpecker, Azure-breasted Pitta, Red-eared Parrotfinch, Flame-breasted Fruit Dove, and the Indigo-banded Kingfisher, along with their common and Scientific names. Leaves of Philippine native trees such as the Narra, Banaba, Baguilumbang, Molave, and Ilang-ilang provide greenery in the background. The design runs all the way to the back.

The Philippine Forest Treasures Collection was inspired by the #ForestBloomsPh and #ForestFruitsPh projects, collaboratively created and funded through grants from Forest Foundation Philippines from 2018–2022. Proceeds from the initial products have supported the development of new items in this collection, all designed to highlight Philippine native species and their important role in forest conservation.
